Our focus, at McKeel Academy Central, is to provide the very best education for children as well as to coach them into becoming successful members of our society. "POSITIVE ENERGY" is our 2019-2020 school wide motto and we will continuously encourage our students to spread POSITIVITY, not only while at school, but while at home and in the community as well.
I am a native Floridian from the Tampa Bay area. After high school, I attended Florida Southern College, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. In 2010, I graduated from the University of South Florida with a Master of Education, Educational Leadership degree. I have been married for 18 years and have a 15 year old daughter who attends McKeel Academy of Technology.
I began my career in education in 1999 with Polk County Schools at North Lakeland Elementary where I taught both 2nd and 3rd grades. I have been a part of the McKeel family since 2003 and have enjoyed 16 years between both our MAC and SMA campuses. Since joining The Schools of McKeel Academy I have taught 3rd and 5th grades, served as a lead resource teacher, and I am currently in my tenth year as an Assistant Principal.
McKeel Academy Central is the amazing place that it is due to our students, teachers and families...each working hard to do their part in being the best. Not only have we earned a school grade of "A" for multiple years, we have also been recognized as a "School of Excellence" by the Florida Department of Education for the past two school years. We could not be more proud! Go Wildcats!
