What's buzzing wildcats?! I am Miss Maready and I am so excited to be starting my second year of teaching in first grade! I attended Florida Southern College and graduated in 2012 with a bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education. I love teaching and have felt from a very young age a calling to make a difference in the world. I am a third generation teacher and I could not see myself doing anything else because I love to help kids. First grade is so much fun and I feel so privileged to be teaching here at McKeel Academy Central. I have had numerous experiences in working with multiple ages of children throughout my college career but I just love first graders. I love the skills I teach them and seeing their little personalities develop more and more each day. As students learn each day, I feel it is also important for me to learn as well. I want to learn my whole life and I try to stay current on teaching techniques, classroom management skills, and fun ideas to incorporate into my classroom environment. My goal this year is to make sure all my students develop a love of reading and learning. I think it is so important for children to be reading and to be read to each day in order to develop their vocabularies and fluency. I believe that anything can be accomplished with a postive attitude and a little hard work, and I hope to instill in your child this value and a love of coming to school each day. I cannot wait to see all the adventures unfold this year and to have a blast learning!
