Confucius once said, “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” That quote perfectly sums up how I feel about the past 37 years I’ve spent teaching and learning alongside students—from kindergarten all the way through sixth grade.
I earned my degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood from Florida Southern College, and throughout my career, I’ve continued to grow through a wide range of professional development opportunities. Highlights include the Cooperative Learning Accelerated Achievement workshop, where I gained powerful strategies to foster student engagement, as well as trainings in Kagan Cooperative Learning and Multiple Intelligences—both of which continue to shape the collaborative and inclusive culture of my classroom.
As we step into the 2025–2026 school year, I’m excited for all that’s ahead. From hands-on discovery and creative use of technology to energizing brain breaks and joyful “house” celebrations, this will be a year full of learning, laughter, and growth!
