Rebeccah Dougherty
3rd Grade Team
Welcome to 3rd Grade! I am so excited for this upcoming school year! This will be my 18th year teaching and my 12th year at McKeel. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I graduated from Florida Southern College with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and attended University of West Florida for my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. I have a 9 year old son, Austin who is in 4th grade this year at MAC!
In my free time I enjoy being outdoors, at the beach, reading, watching movies, and enjoying time with my son and being with family/friends. Some of my favorite things are anything beach related, anything Christian/inspirational, pineapples, dolphins, Reeses, Hershey bars with almonds, cherry coke, popcorn, and nerd clusters.
Kids are my passion and I am so excited to be your child's teacher this year. My goal is to empower them to believe in themselves, engage them in learning to know school can be fun, and push them to accomplish their goals. My goal is to make magic in the classroom to have something to talk about from school in regards to what we are doing and learning about at your dinner table . You will see so much growth in them this year both physically and academically. I am looking forward to an amazing year!
