5th Grade Team
Welcome to McKeel Academy Central and to 5th Grade Math! This is my 19th year teaching and my eleventh year at MAC. I have taught kindergarten, second, fourth, and fifth grades. This is my 10th year teaching fifth grade. I love teaching and have a passion for what I do and the children that I teach. I have lived in Lakeland for most of my life. I graduated from the University of South Florida and am certified to teach grades K-6 and Mathematics 6-12. I also have my ESOL endorsement and Reading Endorsement. I am looking forward to an exciting and successful school year!

Science State Testing is TUESDAY!
This week we will begin to introduce 6th grade math skills. Students should be working on reassessment work. All reassessment work and reassessments should be completed by Friday, May 24th.
FRECKLE - Students should have all Freckle sections to mastery that we have worked on over the past 2 months. Freckle levels are listed below. Students have the following options to choose from to review on their own:
Geometry (complete level 21...if you see level 22 you are done)
Measurement & Data (complete level 45)
Fractions (complete level 30)
Operations & Algebraic Thinking (complete level 34)
Base 10 (complete level 37)
*Should say REVIEW under skill to show mastery
