Hola I'm Sra. Zamora,
I earned my Bachelor‘s Degree in Education in Cuba and I am certified for teaching in the state of Florida. After teaching our secondary students at McKeel Academy for 17 years, I embraced the new adventure of teaching elementary age students. This is my third year as Spanish teacher in MAC and I can't be more excited. I am living my dream of developing Spanish language skills during early ages in life and I am grateful for this opportunity.
I truly believe in the acquisition of a new language in a natural way, the way we learn our first language, and I use Comprehensive Input strategies in my class. During instruction I provide input that permits the student to understand most of what is said and give them the confidence to try their best in an empowering environment. We sing songs, play games, read and tell stories, and practice reading comprehension. I use a language that students are mostly able to understand, helped by nonlinguistic clues. I challenge my students to learn in a friendly atmosphere.
