Welcome Wildcats! I'm excited to be starting my 4th year at McKeel Academy Central. I previously taught first grade for fifteen years at Caldwell Elementary in Auburndale. I am a life-long resident of Polk County and received my Bachelor of Science degree from Florida Southern College. I am certified in Elementary Education (K-6) and have my Reading & ESOL Endorsements.
I am a firm believer in building positive relationships with my students and their families. I have a passion for creating engaging lessons that lead to lasting learning and want my students to develop a LOVE of learning in the process. It's my goal to establish a classroom culture that supports each student in meeting their academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs. I look forward to working with you to ensure your child has a successful year in first grade!
