Welcome Wildcats!

I’m excited to begin my first year at McKeel Central, marking the start of my 27th year in education after launching my teaching career in 1999 at McKeel Academy. I’m proud to hold certifications in Mathematics, Social Sciences, ESE (Exceptional Student Education), and ESOL, which have enabled me to connect with and support a wide range of learners.

A native of Brockport, New York, I earned my undergraduate degree in Criminology from Florida Southern College. After working for the Florida Department of Children and Families helping foster families, I decided to go back to school to become a certified teacher in the state of Florida.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching at McKeel Academy, South McKeel, and Tomlin Middle School in Plant City.

My teaching philosophy centers on engaging students both academically and personally—whether guiding them through complex lessons or fostering a love for learning. Outside the classroom, you’ll often find me immersed in puzzle games that challenge my brain just as much as teaching does, or unwinding with a good crime show—my go-to pastime for relaxing and recharging.

With nearly three decades in education, I remain as driven as ever to inspire, support, and grow alongside my students and colleagues at McKeel Central.
